Urban Shaman is apropos one of my favourite galleries in a Exchange, and they have a photography vaunt we should unequivocally stop in and see this weekend.

It’s called The Voice From Point Douglas and has photos from 9 women who live in a North End.

The vaunt has themes of reserve and confidence and taps work from Aleesha F. Winter Thunderbird Woman, Anna Marie V., Bonita Jarrow, Claudette Nault, Corinne Baxter, Donna Rusnak, Erika Dilka, Paula Ducharme and Shelley Stevenson.

If attack an art opening isn’t your thing normally, this competence be a good one to check out since it’s partial documentary and has content to accompany a print narratives.

It’s also usually a unequivocally welcoming space.

And even if entertainment isn’t your thing, there are vendors and food trucks set adult during Old Market Square with performances designed all weekend. The Noble Thiefs, DJ J. Jackson, The Tin Can Bandits and a whole garland of other people are personification Friday Saturday and Sunday night during a square.

In terms of shows to check out, Joff Schmidt has a few good roundups.

My personal collect for a fest is George Toles’ theatre instrumentation of The Collector. His son Thomas is personification Clegg, a man who kidnaps art tyro Miranda Grey (played by Cait Belton) and tries to get her to tumble in adore with him.

William Wyler’s film chronicle of a book is a fantastic, creepy watch, and we design a play to be even better.

WHAT: COMEDY – Winnipeg Comedy Showcase

When: Friday, Jul 15 during 9 p.m.

Where: The Park Theatre during 698 Osborne St.

Cost: $10

The Winnipeg Comedy Showcase is bringing in Dana Smith, Ryan Ash, Florence Spence, John Whilson, Melanie Dahling and Keener for another uncover this weekend.

They’re competing opposite Fringe shows this month, that is flattering brave, yet a lineup is full of some internal heavy-hitters.

Both Dana Smith and Florence Spence had unequivocally clever sets during a final Empowherment, and Jared Story is always a unequivocally enchanting host, so it should be a good time.

These customarily sell out, so go early for a good seat.

WHAT: MUSIC – Supermoon and Cannon Bros during HD

Where: The Handsome Daughter during 61 Sherbrook St.

Cost: $10

The Handsome Daughter has my tip collect for shows this weekend with Cannon Bros, Supermoon, Jay Arner and Sam Singer.

Arner and Supermoon are both from Vancouver and will be an glorious element to locals Cannon Bros and Sam Singer.

It’ll be a really indie/surf/pop/rock night, and even if we haven’t listened of any of these guys, a things is flattering fun to listen to.

Also, this venue is always good since we can have a still drink in a front grill partial and ramble in and out of a uncover whenever we want.

WHAT: BEER – Barn Hammer taproom opens

Barn Hammer Brewing Company non-stop adult a tasting room on Wall Street progressing this week, yet this will be their initial weekend.

You can get a uninformed pint of drink or get a growler filled right during a brewery. Right now, their tours aren’t adult and running, yet apparently that’s entrance soon.

And even yet legislation around tasting bedrooms altered recently to concede them to exist here, they usually concede them to be open until 9 p.m. so you’ll have to go early for a uninformed pint.
