See a ‘supermoon’ during Summit Metro Parks

November 22, 2017 - Supermoon

AKRON, Ohio – Summit Metro Parks naturalists will horde dual programs in Dec that will offer park visitors a event to learn about, and see, a supermoon.

Supermoon,” a tenure used to report a moon’s larger-than-usual appearance, happens when a moon is during or nearby a closest stretch to a Earth in a orbit, according to a Summit Metro Parks news release. It happens about each 14 full moons.

Programs are:

Saturday, Dec. 2: Join park naturalist Joe Malmisur for a supermoon travel on Liberty Park’s Bluebird Trail and adjacent meadow from 7 to 9 p.m. After a hike, there will be a glow and prohibited chocolate. Liberty Park is during 9999 Liberty Road, Twinsburg.

Sunday, Dec. 3: Join a park naturalist for a travel underneath a supermoon during Munroe Falls Metro Park during 7 p.m. Munroe Falls Metro Park is during 1088 North Ave., Tallmadge.
