Ogeechee Riverkeeper to
host Supermoon paddle trip
The Ogeechee Riverkeeper will horde a special Supermoon paddle outing on Dec. 3. Participants will accommodate during a Savannah-Ogeechee Canal, 681 Fort Argyle Road in Savannah, during 3 p.m. and launch during 3:30 p.m.
This two-hour paddle will finish during Kings Ferry, located nearby Love’s Seafood Steaks. Ogeechee Riverkeeper encourages participants to join a organisation for a cooking during Love’s following a paddle outing to watch a moon rise, during 5:48 p.m.
Luke Roberson, Ogeechee Riverkeeper’s overdo and H2O peculiarity specialist, will lead this trip. Participants should move snacks, water, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, H2O boots or tennis boots (flip-flops and sandals are not recommended), and a dry bag or approach to store personal items.
“This is a good event for paddlers of any turn to have a cold afternoon on a H2O followed by a superb perspective of a nightfall and a Supermoon rising over a river,” Roberson said. “There are few things improved than a relaxing float, following a tide, and finishing it off with a good dish with a pleasing view. Ogeechee Riverkeeper asks that participants move headlamps due to a paddle final during sunset. Paddlers will need to compensate $6 to put in during a Savannah-Ogeechee Canal. Registration for non-members for this special paddle costs $35 per chairman while Ogeechee Riverkeeper members are invited to join these paddles during no cost. Ogeechee Riverkeeper memberships start during $35 for individuals.
