January 4, 2018 - Supermoon
In a second of a three-act play by Mother Nature entitled “Oh My God, Did You See That Moon?” skygazers were rewarded this week for a second time in a month with another Supermoon, that mind-bogglingly large fat universe that had many of a jaws dropping on Sunday evening.
The Supermoon occurs when a moon hits a ”perigee,” or a indicate oin a elliptical circuit where it’s closest to Earth. And a result, as we can see in this slideshow, has been amazing.
And if, for some reason, we missed a Jan. 1 Supermoon, another is scheduled for Jan. 31. So get your camera ready!
